Nick CookNick is the first Director of the newly created Innovation division at the FCA. Nick is accountable for leading the FCA’s RegTech initiatives, its data and analytics strategy, machine learning endeavours, and Innovate activities (including regulatory sandbox, Global Financial Innovation Network, Green FinTech challenge, and direct support).
Nick represents the FCA on the European Securities and Markets Authority’s (ESMA) Financial Innovation Standing Committee and is an advisor to the RegTech for Regulators Accelerator Programme (R2A). Nick joined the Financial Services Authority (the FCA’s predecessor) in 2009, initially in its Enforcement and Market Oversight Division. Prior to joining the regulator, Nick qualified as a chartered accountant at KPMG Forensic.

Armed with $15m seed funding, Aritra and an unusually diverse team (Dozens is 60%+ women and 50%+ non-financial background) are looking to define the second generation of challengers.
Project Imagine aims to bring true innovation in financial services with two brands - consumer app Dozens, and Pi1, the digital banking and wealth platform that runs Dozens. It is the first and only UK start-up to be licensed both as an e money institution and an investment firm, offering current accounts as well as investment products to UK customers through Dozens.
Dozens looks to align shareholder interests with the customer’s financial well-being by building a business that does not monetise on its customers’ debt, but instead looks to make saving and investing easier and more rewarding with its proprietary financial products. Launched on app stores in January 2019, Dozens now has over 27,500 customers and has processed over £70m on platform Pi1.

Shlomi OrgadShlomi leads the Fintech vertical at Facebook Israel. He and his team work closely with Israeli fintech start-ups and growth companies, guiding on their growth strategy and execution, to help them reach more customers. Focus areas include insurtech, payments, lending and trading.
Before joining Facebook, Shlomi was an entrepreneur in the online marketing space. His previous experience also includes business development, strategy and project management - across a variety of industries.

Josh BellJosh is a General Partner at Dawn and leads our fintech investments working with portfolio companies iZettle, Divido, Property Partner, Sonovate, Zumper, Obillex and Fanduel.
Before joining Dawn in 2007, Josh was at McKinsey & Company, managing teams that advised boards of Fortune global 500 financial institutions based in London, Geneva, Amsterdam and New York. While at McKinsey, he was recognised in the firm as a leading financial services expert in Europe. Within his retail and wholesale banking work, he devoted significant time to informing clients on the impact of new technologies on their industries, and helping to assess and implement these technologies for their businesses.
In addition to his private sector client work, Josh was also integral to supporting McKinsey’s relationship with the World Economic Forum, leading McKinsey support for the WEF’s financial services knowledge initiatives and activities, principally for the Davos conferences in 2006 and 2007.
Josh is a Graduate Scholar at Oxford University in Mathematics. He was subsequently a Research Fellow at Harvard University, in Economics and Game Theory, publishing papers in Game Theory and IT security journals before studying operational research and advanced financial modelling at Cambridge University, as part of an MPhil in Statistics; his MPhil research was supported by the Rand Institute of Santa Monica, California.

Dr Luca MarighettiLuca has nearly 30 years of professional experience across a wide variety of industries, in geopolitical matters and in tech. He held a number of roles first in academia, Procter & Gamble (European Brand Manager) and SC Johnson (Commercial Director, Central Europe), McKinsey & Company (Assembly, R&D, Chemicals, Banking), Deutsche Bank (on-line trading, investment products), Allianz Group (market management across banking), Zurich Insurance (strategy and tech), and now Swiss Re where he developed the tech strategy for the Group and he now leading its implementation.
Luca studied Medieval Literature (with Hans Robert Jauss), History (with Arno Borst), Sociology (with Thomas Luckmann), Philosophy (with Jürgen Mittelstrass), and with masters in the first two disciplines at the University of Constance. There he also earned a PhD in Philosophy of science, with a thesis on the epistemic contribution delivered by the extension of the thinkable (“possible worlds” and “language”) as performed in the literary space, and mentored by the same academic teachers. Luca attended Scientific High School in Italy and Germany.

Yaron ShilatYaron is the Head of Public Policy for Amazon and AWS in Israel.
Prior to this, Yaron was part of the founding team of LATTO, a streaming company, as VP Content and later as VP Sales & Partnerships for 7 years. In this role Yaron managed to successfully pivot the company from a B2C streaming company into a B2B technology vendor by onboarding its first Tier 1 Telco customer PLDT and later PCCW out of Hong Kong. PCCW has also become a prime investor in the company. Before joining LATTO, Yaron was the head of Sales and Marketing for Tikshoov, the largest contact center provider in Israel with 6,000+ employees across the country.

Uri AradUri has been fighting fraud and fraudsters for more than a decade and has seen the fraud and identity challenge from diverse perspectives: product, risk, and R&D. Before he co-founded Identiq to create the solution he’d been dreaming of for years, he was the Head of Analytics and Research at PayPal’s risk department. He has tremendous experience building cross-functional teams which use the latest technological developments to create innovative products that both reduce loss and improve customer experience.

Cecile BliliousCecile is the Founder and Managing Partner at Impact First Investments, Israel's first impact investment company. Prior to founding Impact First, Cecile managed the Noaber Foundation's Israeli investments for over 14 years, and has earned extensive hands-on management experience with high-tech start-ups. Additionally, Cecile held executive positions and led several companies as a founder, CEO and served as a chairperson and board member on many more. Cecile founded the mentorship program at the "Keren Shemesh" Foundation for the Encouragement of Young Entrepreneurs and volunteers as a mentor. Roni Cohen-PavonRoni is a partner in HFN's Internet & Ecommerce Department, with a particular focus on crypto currency and financial services.
Roni is a founding member of the HFN crypto currency practice, advising clients on all aspects concerning their Initial Coin Offering (ICO), provision of services related to the crypto world, trading and operating a trading venue for crypto currencies and integrating crypto as part of their existing business (i.e. as a payment method, as store credit, etc.). In her public sector role she was Head of Competition Division, a policy and research division within Israel Antitrust Authority.
Dana has a BSc in Mathematics & Computer Science from Tel Aviv University and a PhD in Economic Analysis and Policy from Stanford School of Management. Following her studies she was an assistant professor in economics at both the University of Chicago and Tel Aviv University.

Josh LiggettJosh works on the Investments Team at OurCrowd, focusing on Fintech and Blockchain. His first exposure to the pain points fintech companies solve was dealing with traditional factors in the mid-2000s while running an e-commerce clothing company.
