Noam Nevo
Co-Founder & CEO
Osu

Noam is the CEO and Co-founder of Osu - an all-in-one payment app that allows self-employed professionals in the UK to get fully paid, fast.

A graduate in Computer Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Noam’s early passion was in technical programming and building platforms that allowed businesses to streamline many customer-facing and professional operations. In 2013 he joined PayPal as a Professional Software Engineer, working to build harder working and sturdier platforms for optimum business utilisation.

After 2 years, Noam left PayPal to kick-start his own freelance offering and founded Vala, a money transferring system for banks and financial institutions.

With a vast amount of experience within the freelance and self-employed sectors, Noam quickly understood the importance of tracking and managing finances and how losing sight of payments can quickly affect general day-to-day operations. The constant chasing and management of this process pushed him to look for a better approach, one that worked specifically for the self-employed - or Osu, as we now know it.

Osu, meaning Push in Japanese, launched in 2020 and gives UK freelancers, sole traders and self-employed professionals access to some of the most cutting edge payment tools created. Through its easy-to use payments app, Osu lightens the load for these individuals, taking care of their business and helping them achieve more for their efforts: more earnings, more time, and more opportunity to build the right business for them. A virtual PA working behind the scenes for the self-employed who aren’t big enough to have wider teams.

To date, the Osu app has helped over 1,000 self-employed professionals build and grow their operations, assisting them to successfully accept hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of payments. With a recent seed round raising more than £2m, Osu now plans to increase its customer base to 10,000 active users by the end of 2021.
